ADT Projekt GmbH together with its Chinese partner National Animal Husbandry Service (NHAS) and Henan Yifa Animal Husbandry Co., LTD (HYHC) organized the Sino-German Pig Husbandry event, Open Day and Pig Husbandry Symposium, on 27-28th November at the HYHC in Hebi of Henan Province, serving as a prelude to the 3rd Sino-German Agricultural Week 2017.
More than 160 representatives from governments, research institutes and pig raising companies have attended the event, witnessing the inauguration ceremony of a new pig stall, an important milestone of the Sino-German Animal Breeding project. And officials from both NAHS and German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture have delivered welcome speeches during the event, project implementation partners introduced the project progress, and German business partners, such as Big Dutchman, Boehringen Ingelheim and Sano, explained what they had conducted in HYHC so far.
During the symposium, a Handbook on Pig Husbandry has been delivered by the German expert to the representative of the HYHC, which is to be used as a guideline for the HYHC to improve its management system within the project phase. The Sino-German Animal Breeding Project has started its pig component since one and half years by focusing on five components, namely breeding boar stall, environmental protection treatment station, a fattening stall, young sow breeding and nucleus stall. The HYHC is the first demonstration company and more Chinese pilot companies are to be selected later on.
