On 29 May 2019, the annual Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting of the Sino-German Agricultural Centre (DCZ) took place to review the progress of the DCZ in the past year and to discuss and approve the work plan for the coming project year. [...]

At the occasion of the visit by the German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture, HE Ms. Julia Klöckner, the DCZ organizes the Sino-German Agribusiness Conference 2019 on 14 June 2019 in Beijing, Kunlun Hotel.
The Sino-German Agribusiness Conference serves as a platform that facilitates exchange of experiences and lessons on topics addressed by the DCZ between German and Chinese companies and business associations as well as with political decision-makers and researchers.
This year about 200 participants representing MARA and BMEL, Chinese and German agricultural and food industry, entrepreneurs, academic and research institutions are expected to attend the event which includes

  • Keynote speeches by high-level representatives on the background and status of rural development in Germany and China
  • Presentations on the cooperation on sustainable development of environmentally friendly animal husbandry
  • Cases of contributions to sustainable agricultural development
  • Panel discussion “Who learns what from whom?”
