12 representatives of German export companies and 40 representatives of Chinese importers took part in the event sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and hosted by the German Export Service GmbH and the GIC Greater China – Shanghai. In a workshop, information was provided on new customs and import regulations, primarily on the problems of certification of organic products and approval procedures, as well as on logistics procedures (DHL). At invitation of the organizers, Dr. Jaksch informed about the tasks and goals of the DCZ project. Later during an onsite inspection at Shanghai METRO and Citymarket stores, Dr. Jaksch explained how synergy effects can be used to improve product placement of products of German origin.
